Sarah celebrated her birthday with her second bottle from Cantillon. Three more to go. Vigneronne is brewed with extra muscat grapes. This is basically the geueze we enjoyed in Brussels with a subtle vinous dryness and white grape juice. It’s delicate and understated. It’s Cantillon.
Unlike other sour beers I’ve tried— and I’ve tried quite a few— Cantillon is just perfect. Flander’s style sours lack the delightful texture of geueze, but other geuezes lack the subtle flavor and acidity. Cantillon is the best.
